2008 Olympic Gold Medalist Laura Kraut will give a clinic on Tuesday, March 2, at 3:30 p.m. on natural obstacles. The clinic will be held in the International Arena at the 2010 FTI Winter Equestrian Festival. The cost of the clinic is $100 and auditors are welcome for free.

Kraut added a team gold medal to her stellar career at the 2008 Olympic Games in Hong Kong with her top mount, Cedric. Always a top competitor in grand prix circles, she was an integral part of the U.S. team in the Samsung Super League in 2007. Kraut helped bring home a Team Silver Medal for the U.S. Show Jumping Team at the 2006 World Equestrian Games.

In 2004, Kraut was a member of the second place team in the $50,000 Samsung Nations Cup in Florida, and helped the United States secure a fourth place overall finish in the Samsung Super League. In 2003, she was the top placed American at the World Cup Final, where she tied for the fifth position out of 41 starting horse and rider combinations. In 2002, she was a member of the U.S. Team which won the first outdoor Nations Cup held in the United States; and at the Samsung Nations Cup Series, she was named Leading Rider after tying for first place on Liberty. Kraut was a U.S. team alternate at the 2002 World Equestrian Games in Spain, and in the 2000-2001 competition season, she was honored as reserve champion AGA Rider of the Year. Kraut was also a member of the U.S. show jumping team at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games. She makes her home in Wellington, FL and enjoys spending time with her young son, Bobby.

Palm Beach Riding Academy partners with El Sur Polo Club

Equestrian Sport Productions is pleased to announce a partnership between the Palm Beach Riding Academy and El Sur Polo Club. The Academy, located at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center has been providing training for all ages and levels of show jumping for the past two years. El Sur Polo Club, headed by Dominic State and Roberto Narvaja has been teaching polo at their Wellington facility since 2006.

El Sur Polo Club is a full service polo school that trains beginners through advanced polo players. The facility houses its own arena that hosts junior, scholastic and professional tournaments. Roberto Narvaja, originally from Argentina is a two-goal handicap player and has run several other successful polo training programs. Dominic State a 3-goal player and HPA certified coach hales from England and serves as the head instructor and polo manager of the Club. Dominc's equine talents range from pony club and show jumping as well as polo.

Private polo lessons are priced at $150 per hour. Group lessons and practices may also be arranged.


Palm Beach Riding Academy Offers Winter Equestrian Festival Experience

Join in the experience of a lifetime. Riders of all ages can come to train and show at the World Renowned 2010 FTI Winter Equestrian Festival through The WEF Experience offered by The Palm Beach Riding Academy. The package will include a show ready horse or pony, riding instruction, training at the horse show, a golf cart rental and a weekend pass to the exclusive VIP lounge (evening events excluded).

The WEF Experience may be customized to each individual's ability and timeframe and is available throughout the 2010 Winter Circuit. The Palm Beach Riding Academy will coordinate and work with existing trainers or provide top equestrian professionals on site at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center host of the 2010 FTI Winter Equestrian Festival.

Compete in the newly renovated show rings on the state of the art Equestrian Services International Olympic Footing. Trail ride around the 150 acre show grounds and enjoy international gourmet cuisine in one of the many themed cafes around the show grounds.

The Equestrian Horse Show Experience package is a perfect holiday gift and begins at $150 per day which includes training, lessons and horses. Show fees are not included.
