Special Events: Entertainment includes sky divers, a children's carnival, jugglers, face painters, balloon artists, petting zoo, pony rides, bounce houses, terrier races, hat contest, live music, equestrian demonstrations, a car show, Harley Davidson parade and a tug-o-war between the police and firefighters.
Races: Six races--four over fences and two on the flat--will offer total prize money of $150,000. The gates will open at 10 a.m. and the first race is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. A family entertainment extravaganza is being prepared for the event. The second annual Fall Steeplechase has been scheduled following the huge success of the Palm Beach Steeplechase at the Stadium last Thanksgiving which drew several thousand spectators.
Track: The new Palm Beach course measures 1 Mile, Running Clockwise (Right Handed). The races will be run at a distance of 2 1/4 miles. There will have 5 NSA sanctioned races over hurdles and 1 Celebrity Polo race on the flat for a total of $150,000 in purses.
