NEWS RELEASEJan. 10, 2008CN Winter Equestrian Festival Prize List Book AvailableWELLINGTON, Fla., Jan. 10--The official Prize List for the CN Winter Equestrian Festival that begins on January 16 was available Thursday at the show offices at the Palm Beach International Center. The WEF Prize List has been available on the official Internet site www.equestriansport.com since Dec. 15. Almost 900 entries have been received for the first week of WEF by electronic filing alone with several hundred more mailed entries. David Burton, Jr., PBIEC co-manager, said that copies of the Prize List will be mailed to WEF members. The 212-page Prize List provides information on hunter, jumper and equitation classes for 12 weeks of competition with prize money of $5 million from Jan, 16 to April 6 at Wellington. It is available at the show offices at the main Show Grounds and the South Grounds (formerly Littlewood Farms). Equestrian Sport Productions, LLC. (ESP) assumed operating control of WEF on Dec. 15. ESP has invested several million dollars in a complete makeover of PBIEC, including new footing in several rings and warm up areas and numerous other improvements and upgrades that will be unveiled at a pre-WEF news conference next Tuesday. |
