Mar. 4--Prize money for the International Hunter Derby at the CN Winter Equestrian Festival sponsored by Zimmerman Advertising on March 20-21 has been increased to $50,000. The prize money for the U.S. Hunter Jumper Association class was,increased to $50,000 from $25,000 and announced Tuesday by Equestrian Sport Productions, LLC, the WEF management company. The final round on Friday, March 21 will be held under lights in the International Arena at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center. The first round on Thursday, March 20 will be in the Grand Hunter Field. The class is sponsored by Becker & Poliakoff, a diverse commercial law firm with more than 125 attorneys in 15 offices throughout Florida, New York and Prague, Czech Republic, plus affiliated offices in France, China and Israel. Administrative offices are in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Prize money distribution is: $15,000 for first place, $11,000 for second, $7,500 for third, $5,000 for fourth, $3,000 for fifth, $2,500 for sixth, $2,000 for seventh and $1,500 for eighth through 10th places.
